Every build starts with a consultation and a rendering. You see the vision before a single cut is made. That process is not industry standard — it's the Mayne standard.

Pro Touring Builds
Modern suspension, brakes, and power in a classic muscle car body. Full Speedtech or Heidts chassis, LT4 or LS power, show-quality paint.
Restomod Builds
Classic aesthetics with modern underpinnings. Engine rebuilds, fuel injection, coilovers, big brakes — done to a level that lasts decades.
Statement Builds

Yes. While Mayne Designs is based in Northern California, we travel for the right project. Clients come from across California and beyond — the build is what matters, not the zip code. If you have a serious commission in mind, reach out and we'll make the logistics work.
Every build starts with a $200 design consultation — credited in full toward your build if you move forward. The consultation can be remote or in-person, whichever works for you. We discuss your vehicle, your vision, your budget, and your timeline. From there, Markus develops a build rendering so you see the car before a single tool touches it.
Most builds run 6 to 18 months depending on scope, component lead times, and how deep the fabrication goes. A Foundation build at $50–75K can move faster. A full Pro Touring or Statement build with custom fabrication, show-quality paint, and a twin-turbo engine will take longer. Markus communicates constantly throughout — photos, updates, questions — so you are never left wondering.
Yes. Pickup and delivery within Northern California is standard. For clients beyond NorCal, we arrange transport by coordination — enclosed, insured, and handled with the same care as every other phase of the build. Your car is treated like the commission it is, from the moment we take possession to the moment it is back in your hands.
Mayne Designs operates by appointment only — there is no public shop floor to drop into. This is intentional. Commission builds require focused environments, not foot traffic. Once your build is underway, Markus invites clients in at key milestones. Every consultation starts with a conversation, not a showroom tour.
The portfolio is built on first and second-gen Camaros, Chevelles, and classic American muscle. Markus's specialty is GM A-body and F-body platforms, particularly the 1967–72 era. If you have something different in mind, bring it to the consultation — the conversation will tell us both whether it's the right fit.
